Our School Day
The school day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3pm. Registration opens at 8.40am and closes at 8.50am.
We warmly invite parents from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to join us in school for reading during registration time.
Nursery and Reception children are learning outdoors throughout the day.
Infant playtime (Y1 and Y2) is 10.15am -10.30am.
Junior playtime (Y3 - Y6) is 10.45am -11am.
Infant lunchtime (Reception, Y1 and Y2) is 11.45am - 1pm.
Junior lunchtime (Y3 - Y6) is 12.30pm until 1.30pm.
At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school- we aim to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
To get to and from school, for those who are able, walking is definitely the best option. The many benefits include: it is healthier; it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users; it reduces traffic and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely and do not park on the yellow zig-zags outside the school.
